Pumpkin Facts
The Irish brought the tradition of pumpkin carving to America. They started with carving turnips. When they came to America they found an abundance of pumpkins which were easier to carve.

New Music Leaders Announced!
Dr. Thomas and Mrs. Martha Hart have accepted an offer to serve at the Directors of Music for St. Thomas Church. The Harts hope to be in Battle Creek by mid-August and be on the job! They will also direct the Battle Creek Community Chorus.
Dr. Hart is currently Director of Choral Studies and Professor of Music at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. Martha Hart is an accomplished organist and mezzo-soprano. Please join us in welcoming the Harts to St. Thomas!
