Oil Spill Prayer Service: Sunday, August 1
You are invited to attend a community-wide prayer service about the oil spill on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 1. This special non-denominational service will take place Geeseon the banks of the Battle Creek River (which flows into the Kalamazoo River) just outside St. Thomas Episcopal Church in downtown Battle Creek, Michigan.
 
When: Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010
 
Time: 4:00 p.m. (service will last about 20 minutes)
 
Where: River in front of St. Thomas Episcopal Church
 
Location: 16 E. Van Buren St., Battle Creek, MI, across the street from the Willard Public Library. (click here for map)
 
Who: All people are welcome to participate
 
We will pray for the healing of our environment, for those affected by the oil spill, including residents, evacuees and wildlife. We will also recognize our own part in this tragedy and our need to be good stewards of God's creation.
