WORSHIP SUNDAYS AT 9 a.m.
Worship Protocols during COVID-19
Our ability to gather as a congregation for worship and connection has been upended by the coronavirus pandemic. However, since July, Sunday worship has resumed in person at St. Thomas at 9 a.m.
When possible and comfortable, worship is held outside near the elevator entrance off the parking lot. When we worship outside, we are not limited in attendance, as long as worshippers wear a mask and practice social distancing.
As the weather changes, worship services will be held indoors. Indoor worship is limited to ten persons per room, i.e. ten people in the sanctuary, the lounge, the chapel or the parish hall (max capacity: 40). St. Thomas has purchased a new audio-video system that allows worship services to be streamed to these rooms from the sanctuary via a projector system.
We continue to provide worship online via the St. Thomas YouTube channel.
Attending worship in person during the global coronavirus pandemic entails the risk of the transmission of the disease. By attending church you consent to this risk and agree to hold St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Battle Creek harmless and without fault. St. Thomas has taken reasonable steps to mitigate the transmission of the disease and toprotect those who choose to attend worship in person. Participants must abide by all safety procedures, ie.e, mask wearing, physical distancing, hand washing, etc., or else are encouraged to stay home and participate through live-streaming.
